Start with electric rovers, mount robotic arms on them, and put them in a football field size arena. Throw in a few tennis ball guns, a collection of items to retrieve with the arms, and stir it all up with the POD, a double barrel, full-auto tennis ball cannon. You’ve got Mechanalia, an unusual and exciting activity.
Teams are assigned a robotic rover with an arm, and a Base Station with an elevated gun turret. Points are scored by driving through the arena and collecting objects with the robotic arms while dodging fire from opposing teams’ tennis ball guns. The goal of each team’s gunner is to impede other teams by hitting targets on their rovers, momentarily shutting them down. And the POD? It just shoots at everything that moves.
