Rules and Regulations
1. Only the materials contained in the standard gripper kit may be used in the construction of your gripper. This does not include glue used to fasten materials together.
2. There is no limit to the number of grippers you can create with your gripper kit.
3. There is no limit to the number of gripper kits teams may purchase and use in a given tournament.
4. There are no restrictions on the tools a team may use to construct their gripper. Tools and processes requiring skill to perform such as welding or brazing, CNC, milling etc. may be performed by technicians as necessary but only to the extent necessary to complete the process.
5. Teams may consult any source of information they choose to help guide design and fabrication, but teams should respect the idea that the finished gripper(s) should reflect their work and thought processes.

6. No gripper shall be capable of projecting any sort of projectile. Any mechanism must pass inspection and testing by Newton's Attic personnel prior to any event.
7. All grippers will be subject to inspection and must approved by Newton's Attic personnel prior to use in any event.
8. Any gripper, or component of any gripper, designed to intentionally cause damage to any item, piece of equipment, Rover, arm, opposing team gripper or any object inside or outside the arena will be disqualified and banned from competition.
